Mini AUnitied 2009

Other Mini Number 8 - another Traveller!

This Traveller came up on eBay Australia a while back. Once again it's got a factory backseat although it looks different to the one in Other Mini Number 7. The red interior is reminiscent of Van Man's interior.

Other Mini Number 7 - it's got a backseat!

This one came up on eBay Australia too - I think it may have been a Mini K? It looks to be the same colour as Van Man - does this mean it's an original colour?

The other *really* interesting part is that it has a backseat! I didn't know they made any K's with backseats! It's missing the actual seat, but the frame looks good and the back part of the seat looks pretty authentic - if only I could find something like that for Van Man! Other Mini Number 6 - Green 62

This 1962 van came up on eBay Australia recently - not sure whether it sold or not. Looks like a lot of work!

Other Mini Number 5 - Southern Highlands 64 Courtryman (Woody!)

Found this amazine 1964 Courtyman at the Southern Highlands Motor SHow this year - part of the display put on by the Mini Car Club of NSW. The second photo shows some of the details of the car that were posted in the window. The last shot shows some of the details of the back seat which could come in useful soon...

Brakes are out

We went and visited Van Man on the weekend.

We actually started doing work!

The boys had a great time playing in the van while Dad & I pulled the brakes out. Will add photos when I get them from Dad's camera.

Other mini number 4 - Melbourne 1275 Clubman

A friend spotted this on the street in North Melbourne yesterday - I think it's a 1275, but I'm no Clubman expert.

Other Mini Number 3 - QLD Club Van

This is a really well restored example that a QLD based club sold on eBay recently - for a surprisingly low price!

This is a pretty beatup clubman that came up on eBay Australia recently - looks like it's got a sunroof though...

Other Mini Number 1 - Greenie

I've been collecting images of round nose mini vans as I come across them and I figure this is the best place to put them. The idea is to use them for ideas and as reference material as we try to restore Vanman. Most of the images come from eBay - if anyone has a problem with us using them just let me know.

I like this one - very neat job - something to aspire to! Shame it doesn't have a back seat...
